Our pure, emerald green leaf only (sin palo), fairly traded organic Yerba Maté is single sourced from a cooperative in Brazil. Cultivated within its native forest habitat by people who honor the land and their community, the Yerba Maté they bring to market provides healthcare, schools and more for their people. We are proud to be able to offer such a wonderful option to our customers who value humanity and sustainability as well as quality. 

Yerba Maté has been nurtured, tended to and consumed by indigenous peoples of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay beyond written record. We feel fortunate that this wonderful plant is now shared with the wide world. Many people prefer the natural energy they get from Yerba Maté to any other caffeinated beverage.  

Yerba Maté is traditionally enjoyed as a hot tea drunk from a gourd and sipped through a metal straw (bombilla). We love this tea both hot and iced and both with and without honey. And though it's definitely not traditional, we even love it in the afternoon with a splash of cream.
